hey im working on an hp zd7000 laptop and want to replace the hd.all i have at the moment is a sata when it takes an ide..iknow there is and internal converter but before i go spend the money anyone know if it will still fit inside the laptop???thanx

I wouldn't bother with the adaptors. Laptops are limited in space as it is and adaptors just generally screw things up.
Best thing is buy an IDE hard drive.
