Alrighty it's been a long time since i have been to G2G, Hello staff, I am trying to Connect my Xbox 360 to Xbox live Via a Bridged connection on my laptop. now Ive been able to bridge the connection and my xbox will not connect to the internet. I have my xbox wired to my laptop via Ethernet cable, Now i was told that the 360 has Automatic configuring so i would not need a cross over cable. And then my laptop is connected to my router via wireless. When i bridge the connections, I loose internet on my laptop. I have all settings to automatic. But when i turn the 360 on and try to connect it says connection failed- Failed To Obtain An IP Address. Anyone have any solutions? I am Running windows XP SP3 on my laptop.

Also Ive read this Posting And tried to enable Internet sharing. When Ido it gives me this message on my Local Area Connection

An Error Occurred while ICS was being enabled.

ICS cannot be enabled due to an IP address conflict on the network. ICS requires the host to be configured to use 192.1680.1 Please ensure that no other client on the network is configured to use 192.168.0.1

Also when i Attempt to enable ICS on my wireless network connection it give me this error message

An Error Occurred while ICS was being enabled.

ICS cannot be enabled. A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing.

Ok so I've been doing some work on my own and finally got my computer to connect to my xbox. im still having problems getting my wireless internet on my laptop to share with my wired connection. i bridge the connections, and it seems to work ok. now when i try and connect to xbox live on my 360 it connects to the network but when it is attempting to connect to the internet it fails and says my DNS settings are wrong. This is my setup as follows

My router configurations is

MAC Address . . . . . . . . . . . : 00-17-9a-4b-53-57
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : Enabled

My Laptop configuration is as follows - Wireless Network Connection 2

Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-14-A5-F0-8B-7D
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.32
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.2
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 4.2.2.2
4.2.2.3

And that is how my configuration for my internet access on my laptop is.

Now for the interesting part, this is as follows for my connection from my laptop to my xbox 360

My laptop Local Area Connection is as follows

Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-16-D4-44-D3-D8
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 4.2.2.2
4.2.2.3

And my xbox connections are as follows

IP Settings . . . . . . . . . . . : Manual
Ip Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.69
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Gate Way. . . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

DNS Settings. . . . . . . . . . . : Manual
Primary DNS Servers . . . . . . . : 4.2.2.2
Secondary DNS Servers . . . . . . : 4.2.2.3
