not sure I follow you....the difference between pro and home is very limited and it does not sound like an upgrade will solve your problem

Not sure what you've been told about pro, but that's not a reason to upgrade.

Wrote this up a while ago: too long to post here, but if you want to read it

ok her i go then.

I have downloaded Symantec Norton Internet Security 2005 then i could removed then i begin to delete fils.

then after i get a problem in my windows media player 10 a error

An internal application error has occurred

i have uninstalled wmp 10 and installed again but the problem doesn’t fix
i thing that a dell files from my system32 is gone i downloaded the files

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{f414c260-6ac0-11cf-b6d1-00aa00bbbb58}\InprocServer32]
@="C:\\WINDOWS\\System32\\jscript.dll"
"ThreadingModel"="Both"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{f414c261-6ac0-11cf-b6d1-00aa00bbbb58}\InprocServer32]
@="C:\\WINDOWS\\System32\\jscript.dll"
"ThreadingModel"="Both"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{f414c262-6ac0-11cf-b6d1-00aa00bbbb58}\InprocServer32]
@="C:\\WINDOWS\\System32\\jscript.dll"
"ThreadingModel"="Both"

2. Merge the Jscript.reg file with your registry, or run regedit /s Jscript.reg. (WHERE IS THIS FILE? I WOULD HAVE SEARCHED FOR IT, BUT INCIDENTALLY, MY SERCH FUNCTION DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK EITHER)

3. If this does not resolve the problem, open a CMD.exe prompt and Expand the Jscript.dl_ file from the CD-ROM to %Windir%\System32\Jscript.dll and Expand the Vbscript.dl_ file from the CD-ROM to %Windir%\System32\Vbscript.dll.

then it doesn’t work again.

now i want windows xp pro in my computer to fix the problem without to lost my data and programs.

i hope dude you get it now :tazz:

why not just reinstall media player?

Anyway...here is the issue...obviously a little bit of a language barrier here....are you in Denmark?

I can tell you how to load XP Pro and save your data, but doing so will destroy your programs and they will need to be reinstalled.

That is not what you seem to want.

Is there a reason you cannot run a repair?

Do you have
a) A windows xp home disk (if so, what kind--retail, upgrade, oem)
b) wind xp pro disk? (retail, upgrade, oem?)
