Hi, my friend got a new netbook for Christmas. She had it 3 days before she killed it. I mean blue screen of death and nothing else. I have now gotten it to start up and go to Windows, but it goes to the Windows login screen, logs in and then right bock out. It will not boot in any of the safe modes or last known good configuration or anything else. Ideas?

Hi sccoble ... :) ..:)

since she only had it for 3 days ...use the recovery partition to restore the computer to like it was the day she bought it...it usually tells you on the first screen you see which key to press to get to the recovery/restore ...like F11 or F12

I have tried ALL of the f keys. F2 gets me the bios menu, F5 is all of the startup options, F8 and F10 are the shortened startup options. F11 and F12 do not do anything. Thank you for the idea though.
