Wireless Connection to HDTV

Is there any way of establishing a wireless link between my computer and my High-definition television? I'm currently using a Netgear wireless-N router for the Internet connection to my wife's computer. It would be great if I could use my TV as a remote monitor for streaming videos and for pictures and videos on my hard drive. My computer is a desktop about 30 feet from the TV. Thank you very much for your help.
