Hello CorKey723,
Any software or hardware changes in the weeks before it started? What do you currently use for antivirus software? Make/Model of PC with some specs?
Best regards,
-Jason

No software or hardware changes right before it started. I installed a new video card and a 1gb stick of ram a few months ago. Current programs are MBAM, Spyware doctor, and AVG 8.5. All run on full scans show no problems at all. Computer is a Compaq Presario SR1900NX, Windows XP Home SP3, 1.5GB RAM, 120 GB hard drive, Pentium D 3.2GHZ. Anything else? i would like to upgrade this pc or go with a new mobo/cpu setup (i would love a new core i5 setup, just dont know where to look for the best deal/best bang for the buck.) This comp was one of those $200 specials a few years ago and it hasn't steered me wrong yet, it replaced my older $1500 Vaio.

Go Start>Run (Start Search in Vista), type in:
msconfig
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista).
Click on Startup tab.
Click Disable all
IMPORTANT! In case of laptop, make sure, you do NOT disable any keyboard, or touchpad entries.
Click Services tab.
Put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services
Click Disable all.
Click OK.
Restart computer in Normal Mode.
NOTE. If you use different firewall, than Windows firewall, turn Windows firewall on, just for this test, since your regular firewall won't be running.
If you use Windows firewall, you're fine.
