Service pack uninstall

I was cleaning up my HD on the PC, and I noticed that SP2 took up quite a bit of space. I was wondering I could uninstall this without it affecting my PC and service pack 3. A couple people I asked said that thought SP3 was a build on SP2 and I couldn't uninstall.
