My mothers pc (dell vostro 200 /core2 duo/ windows xp service pack 3) recently got the Win32.Netsky virus. I cleaned the virus using the removal tools, however internet explorer will not work along with a couple of other programs. as soon as you start them they have errors and crash.
I would rather not wipe the hard drive and reinstall windows if i dont have to. Is there a way to uninstall internet explorer and reinstall it, without reinstalling all of windows xp? Or is this yet another symptom of the virus?
