Hi,
I got the blue screen with rdbss.sys error message on shut down a couple of weeks ago. It said "driver unloaded without canceling pending operations". I manually shut down and then rebooted and did not have the problem again until last night. I have Windows XP Pro. I run AVG, Spybot, and Ad Aware regularly. None of these programs have picked up any problems.

I also got an additional error message related to nv4_mini.sys.

Here are the last 4 system error reports:

Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 b945458b, parameter3 baa271d8, parameter4 00000000.
Error code 100000d4, parameter1 b7c32038, parameter2 0000001c, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 80502ccc.
Error code 100000d4, parameter1 b7c77038, parameter2 0000001c, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 80502ccc.
Error code 100000d4, parameter1 b7ce6038, parameter2 0000001c, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 80502ccc.

I have rebooted recently and not had the error.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Thanks to Broni for the instructions and program

Last error is your Nvidia video card. Others are caused by your Audio driver it looks like.

Go to
Start and then to Run
Type in Chkdsk /r Note the space between k and /
Click Enter ...It will probably ask if you want to do this on the next reboot...click Y
If the window doesn't shutdown on its own then reboot the system manually. On reboot the system will start the chkdsk operation
This one will take longer then chkdsk /f

Note... there are 5 stages...
It may appear to hang at a certain percent for a hour or more or even back up and go over the same area...this is normal...
DO NOT SHUT YOUR COMPUTER DOWN WHILE CHKDSK IS RUNNING OR YOU CAN HAVE SEVERE PROBLEMS
This can take several hours to complete.
When completed it will boot the system back into windows.

Let me know if this fixes the problem

I ran chkdsk /r. It finished and windows came back up. How do I know whether or not it fixed the problem? (Do I have to wait and see if I get the BSOD again?) Thanks!

You said it was happening on shutdown so try to shutdown a couple of times and see if the issue happens.
Let me know what the results are.
