I know someone wanting to do this. They believe that XP is better with music files.
Their question is: Windows 7 is on the internal hard drive. They want to put XP on an external hard drive. Is this possible? Will they be able to boot to either/or at startup? Or do they need to partition the internal hard drive to have both on that drive? As I understand, an external hard drive is primarily used for storage, not for an OS.

Any and all replies appreciated!

XP cannot be installed to an external drive, nor can it be run from one.

Thanks for the confirmation. I didn't think it would work. Thanks again.
