Hi there,

My Dell PC was recently infected with antivirus pro, went through a series of steps to try and clean it which seemed to have worked at the time. Virus came back and now, when starting my computer, the Dell logo appears then goes black....looks like the computer is trying to load something because the light flickers continuosly....not sure where to go from here..

thanks very much in advance...

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Before you start a new topic click on this link --> Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide, Please read before starting a new topic. This will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your OTListIt2 log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

hi there is it a desktop or a laptop? if its a laptop press and hold the fn key on your keyboard then simultaneously turn on your pc then when you see the dell logo just release the fn key. it will run the diagnostics, check for errors. if its a desktop if you see the dell logo keep tapping on F12 then scroll down on the diagnostics option.
If everything passes you just need to clean instaall the operating system, you need the OS cd and the drivers cd.
