well I knew before hand I would have to overclock the motherboard to accept the ram, but I don't have to overclock anything else, when I called Patriot (the ram makers) they said the ram doesn't work that well with phenom II processors, but no where on Newegg does it say that, and sadly, now that I look at the product, it says it was designed for I7 processors. I did read on one review that for the ram to run consistently you need to put the ram's voltage higher. Do you know what voltage I should give the ram so it runs consistently?

That i honestly don't know. I have never OC'd my systems because it makes everything run hotter and that shortens the life of the component.
If you have a newer motherboard they sometimes have auto settings in the bios. If not there are hundreds of sites on the web to find out.
I don't suggest doing it as the speed difference you will see is minimal at best.

Seems to have fixed the problem, thanks a lot. And thankfully theres almost no difference in speed.
