On my dad's username he left a site up for over 24 hours, and now the computer is saying it was attacked by a trojan, he can't open up any internet pages because it takes him right to this pop ups about vigrara and dirty sites. Our norton isn't picking up the virus, but a antivirus soft protection is (we never used this before, and it just started popping up for some reason). I can't get on to change the administrator to my name either to try to delete my dad's account, it just closes right away, and well i have absolutely no idea what to do.

Hi

If you believe you have a malware related problem with your computer please follow the guidance below.

1. Start with steps in the Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide.

2. Problems still around after using the Cleaning Guide? If yes, please go to the Virus, Spyware and Trojan Removal forum and start a new thread there.

In this new thread:
  • Describe the symptoms your computer is experiencing
  • Post the logs you created from the Cleaning Guide instructions
  • Mention any steps from the Cleaning Guide you could not complete and why.
3. Once your thread is posted to the Virus, Spyware and Trojan Removal forum, a trained staff member will have a chance to respond and assist you further.

Best of luck and thank you for visiting Geeks to Go.

Best regards,

dm27
