hello, thank in advance for your help.

i am having a problem with this window "msdirectx.sys" it pops up whenever i log onto my account on the computer. it not only happens to mine, but to the other accounts on the computer as well. i have avg free edition, and it asks me to delete the file, but it keeps coming back. i want to get rid of it ASAP! thank you again.

my hijack this no longer waits too.

Copy the part in bold below into notepad.Save it as unlegacy.reg (set filetype to "All Files")

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_MSDIRECTX]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_SVKP]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\LEGACY_MSDIRECTX]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\LEGACY_SVKP]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\msdirectx]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SVKP]

Doubleclick the file you made and confirm you want to merge it with the registry.
Reboot and post a HijackThis log.
