Blank monitor

Hi,3 days ago while on Facebook,monitor went blank,computer still on.Monitor came up no signal.Next day everything worked normal.Then today monitor comes up no signal,all lights and computer noises normal.Bought new monitor,comes up same "no signal".Opened case & checked all fittings,comp started up went for 2 mins then blank screen,now no signal again.Any ideas on what it could be would be appreciated,thanks.
