help changing my primary monitor

hey

just looking for some help changing my laptop monitor to display on my TV. I have my laptop connected to my TV via VGA and i am currently using it as an extended monitor but i want to use it as the primary monitor. i have tried going to properties, settings tab and selecting monitor 2 as my primary monitor but when i click apply/ok it just goes back to the normal settings.

my laptop is a acer travelmate 3280

help is apriciated.
