There are no other signs of any viruses in her hard drive.
It doesn't seem to be detectable with avast or malwarebytes anti-malware.
Her friend who received one of the emails from my daughter's email address called GeekSquad regarding the emails and was told this is a type of virus (Roag) and that it doesn't necessary effect the email, but the operating system of the computer and that in order to get rid of it, the computer has to be wiped clean. Is there any truth to this? She said GeekSquad told her the virus comes up as your "antivirus" asking to run an update and if you agree to it, that is when it infects your computer...and it can not be detected by any antivirus software.
Does anyone know about this, and do I have to wipe out the harddrive and start over?
