I am running internet explorer on window xp home edition. explorer runs very slow, shuts down and reopens consitantly, freezes up etc. worked with Microsoft tech to remove remaining traces of a virus infection. it ran better for a day or two but problems came back. was running firefox when problems started, uninstalled firefox, installed IE 8 problems continued. uninstalled IE8 reinstalled it, reset to default internet settings, nothing changed. Facebook pages are the worst to load takes 15 mins or more sometimes. was running Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE), Super antispyware, malicious malware removal, windows defender ATF cleaner. Uninstalled MSE and super spyware and download avast and newer version of malware removal. Made little improvement.

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Before you start a new topic click on this link --> Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide, Please read before starting a new topic. This will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your OTListIt2 log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
