Problem: after booting my home PC ( XP home OS) I get an error message, in the title bar "nmsrvc.exe" and below that in the box it says "The instruction @ 0x66eea004" referenced memory could not be read. Click Ok to terminate or click Cancel to debug". This file is associated with some program known as Pure Network Platform or Network Magic service (?) When I research nmsrvc.exe on google I get a site known as File.net, whcih claims thay can remove this problem. The issues I am incurring are multiple screen freezes especially if I go online. The Norton 360 I use is useless in that I think this program Pure Network Platform has disabled my Norton update software so I cannot get udates to kill this thing. I have hijackthis on my PC, but not sure how to use or if it must be updated to defeat this new malware program. Norton, even though I pay a $ 70.00/yr fee to subscribe still wants to gouge me for a fee to recieve their expert help ??? :) Help Should I go to Trend Micro for help or can I do something through this forum ? :)
