(I tried to find an answer in the prevoius forums to this question, but they are rather old and really not on point.) Each time I turn on my computer (at the start of the day) Microsoft's "Found New Hardware Wizard" opens up and displays the following message:

"There was a problem installing this hardware:
HP Photosmart C4280 USB device.
An error occurred during the installation of the device.
The specified service does not exist as an installed service."

The C4280 is working fine though I did have problems when it was initially installed. I would like to resolve the error message. Again there is no problem with the functioning of the C4280. I did hear back from the HP guy in spam, India who suggested that I remove the LPTENUM registry key which according to the old forums is just info he copied and forwarded to me. The wizard continues to pop up. I have not put the LPTENUM registry back yet. Any help?

Regards, Rick Whelan
