Hello all,

Win XP PRO SP3 DELL Lattitude D620

I hope someone out there can help, everytime I use my USB Wireless Broadband Modem or my Mobile Phone as a modem with USB cable I get a BSoD with STOP 0x0000008E. I have attached Minidump files of recent BSoDs. Any help much appreciated.

This error can be caused by a 'rootkit' infection, specifically the 'Rustock' rootkit.

We are not allowed to give malware advice or removal instructions in this section.
Indeed, it may not be that, but since it's a possibility, you should have that checked out first.

download and install WhoCrashed from [url="http://<a%20href="http://www.resplendence.com/download/whocrashedSetup.exe"%20target="_blank">http://www.resplende...edSetup.exe</a>"]here[/url]..
This program checks for any drivers which may have been causing your computer to crash....

click on it...then run...then next...put a tick in accept...then next..put a tick in the don't create a start menu folder..then next...put a tick in create a desktop icon..then install.. then make sure there is a tick in launch whocrashed...then finish...then click Analyze ...
WhoCrashed will create report...you have to scroll down to see it
