I installed a video game borrowed from a family member. I went to run it and got a black screen that showed

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

PAGE FAULT IN NOPAGED AREA

If this is the first time.....etc.

This is my laptop from work. I have to get it running ASAP. When i restart the computer, it attempts to load windows and then gives me:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL

If this is the first time.....etc.

Please help. I am desperate.

I removed the game disk. I don't have the XP disk. The computers are maintained by a company my employer contracts with. They are rather expensive. At any rate, any of the installation disks (Word, Excel, XP, etc) are in their possession. I'm kind of stuck.
