Hi guys,

I was wondering whether anyone could help me. I have a laptop that has been converted for desktop use (Inspiron 1501) and picks up wireless signal from my home wireless internet. I was wondering how I could set it up so that I can share the internet connection with my brother in the next room (who is out of range of the router)(I've tried to enable ICS, but I get the 'ICS cannot be enabled, a LAN connection is already configured with this IP Address' etc). Also, I know it may be too much to ask, but is there any way I can share files between these to laptops? Without a router? It may not be possible, but if it is, please can someone tell me how to do it.
Thanks for your time,

Ali

BTW both laptops are on XP.
