Icon Cache.db keeps increasing for no reason

I have noticed my Icon Cache.db keeps increasing for no reason. It used to be at 2-3MB now it is up to 10MB and keeps increasing. I have tried deleting it and it still increases. I have my Max Cached Icons set at 12000. Is there a reason why my Icon Cache keeps increasing for no reason? Is it safe that it keeps increasing? Can I lower it or should it be lowered? If so, how?

I am just wondering because it always seems to increase for no reason. Last week it was a 7MB and today it is up to 10MB. It never seems to decrease at all.

If anyone has any resolutions I would very much appreciate the feedback. Thank you!
