I currently have a network as follows:
DSL Modem / Linksys WRT54G Router
What I want to do is upgrade my entire network to a wireless N router, and add a hardware based firewall(control in coming/out going traffic before it reaches home computers) along with a switch for the LAN based. I plan to create 2 vLANs 1 upstairs for 2 computers and 1 for downstairs for 3 computers.
In total there will be 6-10 computers on this network.
I'm still new to networking, which is the point of this project. I want to learn to work with everything.
So my question is, what hardware do people recommend? and should I ebay to get a better deal?
