I tried to turn on my PC this evening and it took a while and I got a blank screen that said "Master Boot Error insert Disk"

I think it has something to do with this topic I posted a while back

with my C Drive.

I kept getting the error msg to back up my C Drive and replace it.
Is this connected? I need help! Thanks.

It sounds like your hard drive has failed. It is possible that the MBR (Master Boot Record) just needs to be repaired, but still is a sign of a failing drive.

Is your hard drive recognized in the BIOS?

• Start the computer/press the power button
• Immediately start tapping the appropriate key to enter the BIOS, aka "Setup"
  (Usually shown during the "Dell" screen, or "Gateway" Screen)
• Once in the BIOS, do you see your hard drive listed anywhere?
  Marked as recognized, the name of it, anything?
• Press F10 to save and exit
• Agree with "Y" to continue
• Your computer will simply just restart

If the drive is not recognized in the bios then it is a good sign the drive is probably dead.
If it is seen then we can use Puppy Linux to hopefully get the data off.

Yeah, I think my C Drive failed.

It says "None"
in all those spots. It doesn't even read my second Drive where I have everything backed up on. (THANK GOD! lol)

The only options at this point then is to either
Try Puppy Linux
Slave the drive into a known working system and try to pull data off that way
Put drive in a external enclosure and see if it can be seen on a good working system then.

This kinda is confusing lol

The options he gives are in reference to if you need to pull any data off that drive, but to me, it seems like it is completely dead.

You said you have all your data backed up on another drive right? If so, no worries... you simply have to replace the hard drive in your system and reinstall Windows on it. You can do this yourself, or take it somewhere to have done.

You could try Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery software which atleast recover or repair your drive and save your data from lost.I think the other best option is backup if you had updated or ever used...
