Just curious... I bought a new optical drive and plan to install it today, but do I need to uninstall my old drive's drivers before removing it and putting the new drive in?

Thanks

it's not necessary but it's also not a bad idea, only takes a couple extra seconds to go into device manager and click uninstall on the old drive
