I have logged into the router via one of the PC's and trying to set up a password for the network so it is protected and no unauthorized person can connect to our wifi. No matter which type of security I select, it automatically goes back to disabled. How can I fix this? Right now my wifi is open and unsecured.

Thnks in advanced.

Ok, don't know what I did. I was reading what some one suggested and I clicked the reset security button inside th router admin..Now I have very very little signal and can't load the admin page fully.

Update : Got the network to show up again and work, but still can not set a password for it.

Clear cookies and temp files in your browser of choice, then try to configure the router once more.
