New garphics card - game won't load

Help!

I just got myself a nVidia GT240 1GB DDR3 graphics card and now my Battlefield 2 won't load. It just sits there at the 'connecting to server' screen.

I checked my nVidia cards properties and it shows directx version9.0c which is what the game requires.

I upgraded my card in order to play Battlefield Bad Company 2 when it arrives which I believe is DirectX10 hence the new card.

Any ideas why the game won't run with my new card.
