Profile explorer.exe error

When my wife logs into her profile it gives her an explorer.exe error and won't continue loading. We are forced to ctrl/alt/del and shutdown. How can this be resolved so she can use her profile?

Is this only an issue with one account or does it do it on all accounts?
If it's an issue with one account, the easiest thing to do is make a new one from Control Panel -> User Accounts.
