hello
new to this so hope i am doing everything ok! my aol 9.5 wouldn't start due to abover error-my real player will not start-same error-my limewire pro 4.something says i need to install the current java runtime but i already have installed. had to go back to aol 9.0 to work. have read many many things about this error but don't trust all i read!! have avira antivir, have zone alarm personal firewall, have lavasoft adaware. all comes up clean except adaware found win32.trojan.zapchast malware today and quarantined 4 items. probably other probs that i haven't even encountered yet-don't know why or what caused this but i always have protection as well as keep my puter running smoothly-so am really shook up about this but didn't want to start doing things without asking someone trustworthy-congrats-that would be u!! downloading and running avenger seems to be the solution many suggest. can u please help? running winxp media cntr sp3(was 2 downloaded 3) ie8. i have installed microsoft.net framework 1.1, 2.0 service pack 2, 3.0 service pack 2 & 3.5sp1.
MS visual ctt 2005 atl updates, 2005 redistributable, 2008 atl updates & 2008 redistributable.x8690.30729.17. thank u in advance for your trustworthy advice~

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the
START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own.
If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum.
If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
