Thank you
Jon

I just found out that my motherboard has a CPU 939 socket. Does anyone know what the largest AMD 64 X2 that will fit in it?

Thanks
Jon

I have been researching this subject and found out that the 4800x2 toledo core is the fastest 939 socket CPU available. These cost a bundle. The Gateway GT 5058 uses a BTX mother board with a AMD socked. These are very rare if imposible to find and not cost effective. So I guess the soulution for me is to move on to a new compuer biuld.

Thanks
Jon :)

You could try Ebay or Craigslist, but I wouldn't spend too much time nor money on the dead Socket 939.
