My computer is having issues detailed here:

http://www.geekstogo...em-t270189.html

Well, I just remembered that I ran Advanced System Care's reg cleaner, so I am worried about potentially bigger problems with my registry. So I am thinking of reinstalling my OS. I got the laptop second hand, the owner before me had Vista Home first, then he upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate. So now I have a Win Vista reinstallation disc, a Dell driver and utilities disc, and a Win 7 ultimate upgrade disc. I deleted my system restore points to save space.

So what is the best course of action for me to get a clean install of Win 7? I've read that the Win 7 upgrade disc would not activate without a prior OS, so I am not really sure what to do now. Any help would be great. Thanks much!
