Hi Everyone - I bought my wife a Samsung 32" TV then thought I would connect it my desktop PC (she's not happy about this). Went to Fry's and got an HDMI to DVI cable and connected it from the PC (Nvidia 8400 card) DVI slot to the Samsung HDMI 1(DVI)slot (per the user guide). The Samsung shows the Vista blue/yellow background only but nothing else. In other words, my Viewsonic monitor continues as the working PC monitor, and I have this nice big pastel piece of art sitting next to it.

I disconnected my Viewsonic monitor and connected it to the Samsung using the VGA connections and all works fine using the Samsung as the PC monitor. What did I do wrong? Any help would be appreciated -thanks! - Jerry

with the PC connected to the TV this way, open up a window of any kind on the computer and drag it over across the right side of the screen. does that window start to show up on the TV?
