Hi, I've never used this site before, so I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong forum.

Ok, so I downloaded a file and I think it's zipped but not sure. Someone told me it was because the file name ends in '.rar' when it should end in '.ips'. Well, I've tried but I can't figure out how to extract it. I know I have winzip already. I've downloaded many zipped files and normally after I download one I'm automatically given the option to use winzip, but not with this one. Right click menu doesn't provide the option either. And I can't even find winzip anywhere on my computer! :)

So if anyone can please help me I would be very grateful. Thank you!

Howdy and welcome to GTG:

May be able to help here. What is the file name and where did you download it from?

Hey

The file name is SoE_nk_h.rar and I downloaded it from ninakora.com. It's a patch for the SNES game secret of evermore. I also downloaded it from a differnt source with the same results.

Try WinRar. It is a commercial program but has a 30 day trial feature.
