New D-Link D-615 won't work with old Linksys cards

Hi. In our home my computer connects to the Internet via cable modem (Motorola, provided by Cox). The modem is connected to a router. Our two kids' computers have (very old) Linksys WMP11 cards in their (very old) e-machine PCs. Both run XP Pro. They had been able to connect wirelessly until my husband replaced the Linksys router with a D-Link DIR-615. He configured the DIR-615 on my computer before leaving on a long business trip. The wireless network was not working. I managed to get two laptops connected, but still can't get the kids' PCs on the network. I tried updating the WMP11 driver - didn't help. Hubby is out of ideas. Do you have any?

The WMP11 card are capable of wireless B speeds maximum.
The DIR-615, being quite new, is capable of wireless N speeds, but is backward compatible with B and G.

Page 29 of the manual describes how to set the operational mode to B only, G only, N only and several combinations of the above. This might be where the problem exists. You are probably best off to wire one PC or laptop to the DIR-615 temporarily so you may configure it correctly.
