I'm not sure I understand what you mean rs. You're not sure how to fix because of the way everything hooks up now? What does that mean exactly? Are you failing to understand something about the hoook up of the devices or are they hooked up wrong or what?

Sorry for the way I replied.
I have no way of helping further at this point because we have tried all the ways I know to fix the issue.
It is possible the vcr has no digital receiver and that is stopping the signal.
I have no ideal why it is not working at this point.
The rabbit ears you were using before the digital converter would have been a anolog signal and that may be why they worked before.

Ok it's no problem with how you replied. :) You have been very helpful and made every effort to get the job done so thanks. :)

Are you saying I would need a vcr that can receive digital signals? What kind of vcr does that and where can purchase one once I get the moneh?

Also are you saying something is wrong with my rabbit ears?

Nothing wrong with the old rabbit ears as they are for uhf and vhf signal reception. This is older technology and ran on analog signal.
This may be why the vcr worked before. Since switching over to digital converter the vcr has not worked properly.
Buying a newer vcr made within the last 2 years should give you the digital receiver part you would need.
I am also worried about the age of your tv as most newer models have several video input connections.

Are you saying that I also need a newer tv? Like one made within the last 2 years?

What I'm saying is that the most common step would be to replace vcr first since it sounds like it is the oldest component in the 3.
If that doesn't work then you would need to look at the tv as the next part to replace.
The standard setup for wha you are doing is
wall to vcr to tv
Yours does not work this way as it has to go from wall to tv or vcr to tv
BUT it can't go the third step for some reason which I believe is the vcr
