There is a must simpler solution: Just create a custom number format of ###+##.##
To do this just highlight the cells you want and then right click select "Format Cells.."; In the "Format Cell" dialog box the number tab, select custom, then select one format that is close and then click in the "type" field and enter ###+##.##

You then enter the stationing in stationing feet and it displays the number in the stationing format. You can the do math like auto sum just like the cells are numbers.
