OTL scan problem with hkmsvc

Prior to posting a problem with Trojan horse Cryptic.AK, I attempted the preliminary scans as detailed on theis forum. OTL stuck on checking service: hkmsvc. Scanner was unresponsive when I attempted to close it down and had to use Windows Task Manager to start again. Any ideas what to do? Am despararte to rid myself of this evil scum.
