Let's make sure all drives are using DMA mode

Click the Start and then Right click My Computer
Select Manage and In the Computer Management window, select Device Manager
In the right pane, click to expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
The click on the + sign next to your Hard drive controllers on both the Primary Controller and Secondary Controller
Right click on the drive and select Properties
Click the Advanced Settings tab
In the Transfer Mode box open the drop down menu and select DMA if available
Redo the steps to check each of the Controllers
Click OK and exit all windows
Reboot to make sure all settings take affect. Reply back with your results

They should all be DMA, so lets monitor it for a while.

It is booting the same. The boot has not changed. The settings to the IDE channels are holding. I did notice in the log that before we made the changes from the other setting to DMA the log had errors. After the restart it's been on for roughly 2-3 hours error free.

*sigh* once again further issue. I think I know what might be causing the problem now.

I was playing Torchlight last night (torchlight game purchased from directly from website) and the computer bsod'ed on me.

I got the following:

Kernel_stack_inpage_error

0x00000077

no other information. I tried restarting the computer and of course disk boot failure. Waited about 10 minutes restarted and windows was giving me a bsod before it would load and then disk error. I woke up this morning and tried to load into safe mode and it locked up. Restarted and trying to boot back into windows and it's now doing a dskchk.

I noticed something the other night when I wanted to test the system I was playing a game also. Four games that cause errors and crashes can not be a mistake. Is it possible that my videocard is going out? I am not sure how I would even test? My motherboard does not have onboard video so I guess the only way I would know is the buy a new one and stick it in?

Same errors as before. A whole list of during paging operation with one out of date firmware. I think to prove it is the gaming causing the crash I'll leave the computer running for all weekend and allow to do it's thing without playing any games and see the errors it causes.

Well I think that you need to start a new topic in the malware forum and make sure you don't have a active infection causing all this.

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the
START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own.
If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum.
If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Add a link to this topic so that malware tech can see what steps have been taken here

I wanted to let you know that I think you were correct the whole time. The hard drive must be bad. I ran a bunch of checks and no viruses showed up. I ran maleware bytes, super anti-spyware, avast, online scans, and I got zero. However I did notice that when I ran spybot it tried to delete temp files and said it could not.

Regardless while waiting for a helper. I decided to run chkdsk one last time and sadly the drive crashed with unreadable file record segment. now when it boots it doesn't even see the hard drive or the cd drive. Just gives me a disk boot error.

I'll probably nuke the drive after I let it sit awhile and try formatting it otherwise I'll be out tomorrow buying a new drive.

Thanks for your help once again.

I suggest that you just buy a new drive. With this many issues, you will continue to have problems. You have run chkdsk numerous times all to no avail.

You have a Samsung HD now in your system. I've referenced all Seagate drives below. You have to make sure you get the right type for your system IDE or SATA.
