I have a Dell Dimension 5000 that won't even boot to the BIOS. Nada. Nothing. I just get the Dell Blue start-up screen and no activity after that. Not even a progress meter. Nothing. Nada. It just stays on the Dell Blue Screen. Nothing more. No progress whatsoever. And no error messages. No beeping. Nothing.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. It was working great 2 days ago.

Thank you.

I have checked all the cables and RAM.

The last computer that did the same thing to me the hard drive was dead. You are not getting past the POST because there is a hardware failure somewhere. So the computer stops at the POST screen.
