My spell-check in Word and Outlook has stopped working, despite the box being ticked in Word Options. I suspect that I have lost access to the main dictionary but I can't find out what it is called or where it should reside. Custom.dic is where it should be. Using Office 2007 in Windows XP.

Hi Dickblakemore

Please follow the below mentioned steps:

1 - Click on "Start" and select "Run"
2 - Type "regedit" without quotes in Run window and hit Enter key.
3 - Locate and delete this registry key:
4 - Then reopen Word and let it recreate the key and subkeys.

This will fix the issue and Spell Check will start working in Microsoft Word.

Please reply after following the above mentioned steps.
