the small icon to bring up the browser page was always at the bottom of my monitor screen, just to the right of the round START globe. All of a sudden the icon disappeared, I found a new icon on my desktop that says Launch Internet Explorer Browser. I liked the old icon where it was, so if I wanted to bring up another page I could click on it without having to minimize the page so I can see the desktop. How can I put the small icon back at the bottom?

tofu5,

That's just a quick launch toolbar containing shortcuts. You can drag the icon from your desktop to that toolbar. You can actually add any shortcut that way. I use my quick launch for IE, Firefox, my IM program, email, and the desktop - the things I access most frequently. Just as an FYI, you can also change the order of the shortcuts by dragging them.

Well. Who knew?? I now have my little icon back. Thank you for such a prompt reply.

I tried to drag my ATF Cleaner icon from the desktop to the toolbar but all it did was REPLACE the browser icon. Should I be able to also put that icon there? I use ATF quite a bit and it would be quicker if I did not have to minimize the pages all the time.

Hi, Nancy. When you look at that part of the toolbar, do you see something that looks like this: >> If you click on that, it should show you more icons. You can drag the icons so the ones you use the most are always visible, but clicking that arrow will show you everything you have there.

>> I understand that now. ATF is indeed accessible there. I have a few things in the >> that I would like to remove. How do I do that? I also have two that say Show Desktop. Do I need both of them? They appear identical.

You can right-click on any that you don't want and select Delete. This just deletes the shortcut, not the program. You should only need one Desktop icon.
