mouse and keyboard freezes in win7

ever sence i installed win7 I have been having mouse and keyboard issues mainly mouse issues. for example the mouse will freeze for a few seconds or just lock up on me. same with the keyboard. also it seams to be speraticly, but the mouse will all of a sudin have a mind of its own and uncontrolable move to the start menu and clicking on everything.

somebody anybody please help
