Beyond the cable I have attched nothing else.
I bought this from Dell and it came with nothing...no cable, no instructions, nothing...
Other than buying an SATA cable and attaching it to the drive, that is the only thing I have done.

The SATA drive requires power. You need the power connector like what I showed in post 11.
Check your power supply to see if you have something like it.
If you do not have one on the PSU, then you will most likely have to get an adapter.
