Hi folks

I'm havin a couple of issue's with firefox which i downloaded a week or so ago, when I open up firefox it opens lots of tabs from the last time I was browsing rather than just my home page, and I dont seem able to copy and paste images from a web page to a message board as I could on IE.

Thanks in advance

... when I open up firefox it opens lots of tabs from the last time I was browsing rather than just my home page,

In Firefox, click Tools > Options... > General.

Under "Startup", the line that starts with "When Firefox starts:", change the option from:

"Show my windows and tabs from last time"

to:

"Show my home page".

... and I dont seem able to copy and paste images from a web page to a message board as I could on IE.

Some websites attempt to block copying their images. Can you give us a link to one of the websites that you're trying to copy the images from?

I don't know of any Forums where you can simply Paste a Copied image directly into a message. You usually have to post the URL for the image between the tags, or attach the image to the message.

For example, to get your "http://4.bp.blogspot...00/brammer.jpg" image to display within this message, I would use the code:

[img]http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_wYWrAwV4GtI/Rb8XTDFm-9I/AAAAAAAAAHM/_NojV1VANrE/s400/brammer.jpg[/img]

Which would then display in the message as:

IPB 3 has that possibility and I love the feature.

Cool! Posted Image Thanks Broni.

Wonder how many total hours have been spent over the last 20 or so years trying to explain how to get an image into a forum message? :)

How right you're :)

In IPB3 (this board uses older ver. 2.6) you can simply copy a web page, or its part and paste it to your reply. All formatting (including pictures, links, etc.) is kept as on original web page.

No doubt. A whole lot of planning, preparation, disaster recovery plans. Then, and only then, implementation.

Sure glad it's not my job. :)

The same type of preparation, worry, etc. I'm sure. Just less overall time.
