Hello there,

I am fed up of receiving this message below.

Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card.

I have several players installed VLC, Nero and Cyberlink installed yet these newer DVDs will not play.

I have installed XP codec and K-lite packages in full and still cannot play these DVDs on my PC.

Is there a package that I can install that stops this nonsense once and for all?

I don't mind paying so long as I get to play any DVD I want on my PC.

Please help if you can.

Thanks

I'm surprised, VLC won't play some DVDs.
Are those DVDs from your region?

Hello Broni

I was in the process of downloading the latest version of VLC when you posted your reply.

I am happy to say that this latest version works.

At least I can play on this player but why will it not play on WMP11

WMP 11 is my default player and I am very familiar with the controls of this player. Is there a package I can purchase that will allow me to play any DVD.

Thanks mate.

Good news :)
I'm not sure, what to advice you regarding WMP, since I don't use it.
I Googled the problem and I can't give you straight solution, because, it looks like different solutions worked for different people.
