Process File: ltmsg or ltmsg.exe
Process Name: Lucent Technologies Communciations

Description:
ltmoh.exe was authored by Lucent technologies and handles incoming and outgoing calls. This program is a non-essential system process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems

incoming and outgoing calls, what on my computer does that, i runn DSL?
is it ok to deselect it from the startup in my system config utility?

Verizon and Lucent are the same company, I wouldnt get rid of it. It is probably the software that seperates DSL from actual phoneline.

LTMSG Y ltmsg.exe One of the "popular" WinModem series. WinModems use software rather than hardware - hence putting a load on the CPU. Needed if you have it for loading the drivers.

thank you, ? But one more question, if im useing DSL, I dont need the winmoden on, correct? i am useing the motherboard eithernet connection. ?

If you are connected through the networkcard, I see no reason for that driver to run.

You can always uncheck it and reboot. If something doesn't work properly then put the checkmark back.

Try disabling it. See what happens. If everything works fine, you can leave it alone. If not, just start it back up.
