Hello,

Was sent here by the very helpful MPASCAL who went through all manner of things as I assumed my problem was malaware/spyware, but there doesn't appear to be any on my machine.

My internet is working fine (other computers in the house have no problems at all), but is acting strangely. I can play online games no problem at all, but am having problems with updating programs, emails and especially web browsers. Some programs update just fine, others not at all, though by constant retrying, have managed to get everything updated eventually. Same goes with emails, download fine sometimes, other times just hangs, and I need to try pressing send/receive again. Have got Firefox and IE installed on my machine and get the same problems with both when I'm surfing. There doesn't seem to be any kind of pattern to it, and it affects every site I've tried, but sometimes it downloads the page, and sometimes it just hangs. Refreshing, or selecting the address bar and pressing enter, usually will load the page eventually, but can take a long time to work.

Hope someone has a clue what might be up with my pc, and many thanks in advance for helping,
Cheers
Chris
