pages go blank when loading

The little spiraling dots that go in a circle when a google firefox page is loading are hesitating and do not go fast enough for the page to stay loaded. The page will come up for a few seconds and then go blank. Sometimes the page will stay loaded if I reload is but mostly it doesn't.

What Operating System are you running?
What version of Firefox are you using? (Go to: Help -> About Mozilla Firefox)
Can you access other sites? such as this one or BBC.co.uk?
Are you downloading whilst browsing?
Can you access Google via Internet Explorer at all?
Who is your Internet Service Provider?
How are you connecting to the internet? Wireless?
